I wanna make this up for Manifest 2012, but I don't know what materials to use. I want it to be relatively shiny all over, but I'm not sure if satin's a good choice.

Agree with the above, satin I would steer clear of, PVC piping would look more like proper armour. :D

Do you have any idea what you'll use on the core?
